About Tempest

What is Tempest?

Basically, Tempest is a post-apocalyptic setting/story centering on a group of characters who settled in a theme park that they simply call the Park. Tempest is also the name of the organization for which one of the characters, Andris Greene, used to work.

Is there a story?

Yes and no. While there is technically a main storyline, we also publish some miscellaneous scenes that may or may not go into the "final cut." I just think these characters are neat, and I like to write with them.

Who writes Tempest?

I (Specialist Maguire), for the most part, am the one who maintains the website and creates its content. However, the worldbuilding and editing for Tempest was significantly aided by my friend, Operative Ravy, so much so that I consider them a co-author. A few of the pages on this site were directly written by them; that will be noted at the bottom of those pages.

I would also like to acknowledge that the creation of Tempest, that is, the snowballing of this thing from an idea to a full-blown world, is the result not only of encouragement from but also suggestions and contributions by my partner and my friends over the years. Thank you all!

Who am "I"?

The webmaster of this site—the "I" that keeps popping up—is Specialist Maguire, whose other aliases include Cobyzaby, Toads, and Toadsbey.
